Bear Paw Ratings

Welcome to Bear Paw Ratings!  Since there is so much to do in the Smoky Mountains area, many vacationers have a tough time deciding what to do with their time in the area.  We thought it would be fun to give vacationers a place to go to get an unbiased review of many of the attractions, entertainments, adventures and restaurants.

As a family who has spent much time in the Smokies over the past several years we have a very simple rating system for each activity.  “On the count of 3, a show of fingers, rate the activity on a scale of 1 – 5.” 1 = Didn’t meet expectation; 5 = Best in Category. Exceeded expectation.  The rating is based on amount of fun, quality of event/food, value for the dollar.  We take the average of the number of us rating the activity and that is the number of Bear Paw’s the activity is giving.

Since there are so many activities, adventures and restaurants to be rated, we invite the guests of our cabin, ‘A View For You’ to include their ratings also.  If you have been a guest of ‘A View For You’, please follow this link to complete a simple form to rate the activities you have experienced:

“Oh my gosh! What a fabulous time. Our family had been canoeing before so we didn’t think this would be too different. Boy were we wrong. The water was roaring and flowing very quickly. Admittedly, I was a little apprehensive as we approached the first set of rapids, but I came through with a huge smile on my face. The kids were ecstatic and wanted to go back each day of our trip. A definite ‘must do’ if you’re in the area.” — Dan M., Chicago, IL

“White water rafting has been a regular event when we go to the Smokies for years. Outdoor Adventures was our first choice but probably not the best service in town. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.” — Jennifer S., Danville, KY.
